SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Divisional Manager: Applications Management, the Manager: Applications will manage the planning, sourcing, operations of computer software applications to ensure applications administration and user related services availability.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties

Manage the application portfolio
Develop quality standards and procedures
Incorporate audit requirements in the designing of systems
Log and monitor projects and request
Set project reporting structures and monitor adherence
Determine and submit budget requirements based on IT plan
Manage application maintenance
Manage support call
Support ongoing operations
Manage Human capital

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree Information/Computer Science/Information system
Post-graduate qualification in IT/Computer Science will be advantageous.
Relevant industry certifications will be advantageous:
- Programming: g., CSS, HTML, SQL, EDI, C, Python
- IT Governance: g., COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF
5 years or more practical experience in supporting large scale multi business application
Project management experience – managing risk, resources, budget in complex solutions
Development experience of large scale or complex
Customer interface and/or user interface design
Implementation of solutions using agile methodologies
Knowledge of company’s infrastructure and/or computer systems
Computer literacy (Ms Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Knowledge of all legislation pertaining to the company.
Knowledge and experience in financial planning and forcasting
Knowledge and understanding of Public Financial Management Act
Knowledge of corporate governance principals and legislative compliance
Knowledge of enterprise risk management concepts, frameworks, and methodology
Practical knowledge and understanding of performance management systems development and implementation
