SUMMARY:
Our Client in the Freight forwarding Industry is looking for an Air Imports Clerk to join their team at their Cape Town branch Cargo Building - CPT International Airport.

POSITION INFO:

Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ industry experience in imports and forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of import processes, forwarding procedures, and documentation.
• Ship Shape system experience advantageous.
• Familiarity with airline surcharges, commodity add‑ons, and consolidation rates.
• Ability to liaise directly with origin offices for ad hoc rates.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong mathematical aptitude for accurate quotations and cost calculations.
• Good geographical knowledge to support routing and logistics decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Ability to manage invoicing, data entry, and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Problem identification and resolution skills.
• Deadline‑driven with proven ability to meet targets efficiently.
