Administrator (Tyre Distribution & Logistics)

SUMMARY:
Responsible for end-to-end procurement administration within a tyre distribution environment, including international sourcing, clearing & forwarding coordination, inventory control, supplier performance monitoring, and compliance management.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Strong Excel experience with admin back ground

1. Clearing, Forwarding & Shipping

• Coordinate international shipments

• Manage all import documentation

• Ensure correct HS codes and SARS compliance

• Track ETAs and resolve delays

• Negotiate and monitor freight rates

2. Inventory Control

• Monitor branch stock levels

• Manage safety stock and balancing

• Analyse lost sales and variances

• Verify supplier invoices against GRVs

3. Reporting & Analysis

• Maintain procurement dashboards

• Compile weekly/monthly reports

• Update costing calculators

• Analyse landed costs and freight trends

4. Supplier Management

• Conduct performance reviews

• Monitor pricing, quality, and delivery

• Track rebates, returns, and delays

5. Compliance

• Ensure import and regulatory compliance (SARS, ITAC, AEO)

• Manage NRCS approvals and inspections

• Maintain audit-ready documentation

Experience & Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics

• Tyre industry knowledge advantageous

• Strong ERP skills (SAP, Sage, Acumatica) and advanced Excel

• Solid understanding of Incoterms and international trade
