About the Role
We are offering an exciting Part-Time Administration Internship for candidates seeking practical working experience within a professional recruitment and human resources environment. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who have completed, or are in the process of completing, a formal qualification and are looking to gain hands-on exposure while working reduced hours. The internship is designed to provide structured training, real-world administrative experience, and exposure to recruitment processes. While the role will transition to remote work, on-site training at one of Elchemie’s satellite offices for the first month is non-negotiable, ensuring proper system training, mentorship, and development. This internship will support the Recruitment Contract Manager with administrative and coordination tasks while allowing the intern to build strong foundational workplace skills.

POSITION INFO:
What you’ll be doing

• Assisting the Recruitment Contract Manager with daily administrative tasks
• Coordinating and scheduling interviews with candidates
• Managing email correspondence and administrative documentation
• Maintaining accurate records and candidate information
• Following up with candidates where required
• Supporting general recruitment administration and coordination activities

• Grade 12 / Matric plus a completed or in-progress qualification in Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
• Strong interest in gaining practical work experience in an administrative or HR environment
• Good computer literacy, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans (written and verbal)
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Professional attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently
• Own laptop, mobile phone, and reliable Wi-Fi connection (required for remote work)
• Availability to attend on-site training daily for the first month (non-negotiable)

• Structured part-time internship (09:00 – 13:00, Monday to Friday)
• Fixed monthly stipend: R5,000 approx.
• Practical, hands-on working experience in a professional recruitment environment
• Exposure to the full 360° recruitment and HR administration process
• Ongoing support, guidance, and skills development
• Opportunity to build workplace confidence while maintaining work–study or personal balance

• On-site training will take place at one of Elchemie’s satellite offices for the first month
• Thereafter, the role will transition to remote work
• Recruitment systems and processes will be provided and fully trained
• This internship reports directly to the Recruitment Contract Manager
• The internship is offered on a fixed-term basis and may be extended based on performance and business requirements
