SUMMARY:
Role Overview
The Junior Accounts and Admin Clerk provides day-to-day support to the finance and administrative functions of the business. This role is suited to a detail-oriented individual with basic accounting knowledge and strong organisational skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Accounts / Finance Support

Capture supplier invoices, credit notes, and expenses accurately
Assist with debtors and creditors processing
Prepare and issue customer invoices
Allocate payments and reconcile debtor accounts
Assist with bank reconciliations
Process petty cash and staff expense claims
Support month-end procedures and audit preparation
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding account queries

Administrative Duties

General office administration and filing (physical and electronic)
Answer and redirect phone calls and emails professionally
Prepare basic reports and spreadsheets
Assist with document control and record keeping
Order stationery and office supplies
Support HR admin such as leave records and employee files (if required)

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 (Matric) – essential
Certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or Office Administration (advantageous)
1–2 years’ experience in a similar junior accounts or admin role
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage Pastel, Xero, QuickBooks) – advantageous
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
