Role Specifications:

As a Payments Consultant, you are a vital part of the team. You will be required to work shifts which could include weekends. Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Payment Duties

  • You will be responsible to review and process real-money transactions and transfers
  • Processing all allocated payments to clients by delegated deadlines each
  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures during payment
  • Ensure all payments made are reconciled back to the payment system, and payment confirmations are correctly
  • Monitor any pending payments and follow up with external processors to ensure payments are finalized on the payment
  • Resolve any payment query within the standard SLA for the department and ensure the information provided is detailed and
  • Ensure failed payments are correctly updated on the payments system and action taken to resolve the
  • Escalate and resolve problems with external and internal payment
  • Ensure successful payments are cleared on the payments
  • Liaise directly with players via multiple communication channels such as email and telephone to assist with complicated issues and provide fast, accurate, and thorough
  • Attend to investigations of suspicious activity/documentation/transactions on client’s accounts and report findings to FICA and Compliance Manager and Fraud department.
  • Work with the Audit and Payments Manager to implement financial management and Identify areas for improvement in the payment process and provide creative ideas for changes to be

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist where necessary with the FICA Department and report suspicious activity to the FICA and Compliance
  • Identify and review other competitors to keep abreast of new features and provide suggestions to
  • Complete additional project tasks by assigned
  • Providing analytical support such as the evaluation of business proposals and driving ad-hoc cross-functional projects.

Job Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric (Or equivalent qualification).
  • Tertiary qualification in the financial/forensics
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in finance/payments
  • 1-year experience in a supervisory/team leader role (Advantageous).
  • Excellent computer literacy skills (Advanced) MS Office & CRM
  • Sports betting experience/knowledge (Advantageous).
  • Keen interest in the sports industry (Advantageous).
  • Well organized, efficient time management skills and attention to detail a
  • High level of customer service orientation, with a proven ability to see problems through
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A proven team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.

R18000 – R25000 PLUS excellent benefits
