SUMMARY:
We are looking for an immediately available Accounts Payable Clerk in Cape Town (CBD) for a multinational customer clearing, freight forwarding and ships agency with offices in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Walvis Bay.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

EMPLOYMENT TYPE :           Permanent

DUTIES:

Maintain supplier records and recons
Archive credit applications and other supplier documents
Control and maintain discounts
Identify and address problematic suppliers and elevate to relevant reporting structure
Ensure compliance to systems, processes and controls in terms of legislation
Ensure reports are completed and submitted timeously
Assist with day-to-day functions
Assist with the optimization of the administration process

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric
Basic Accounting
Invoice experience (non-negotiable)
Advanced Excel
Diploma / certificate in relevant field
Knowledge of Accounting, VAT Rules, Debtors & Creditors
