SUMMARY:
TEMPORARY ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Location: Port Elizabeth
Contract Type: Temporary
Availability: Immediate Start

POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a temporary assignment in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will have solid creditors/accounts payable experience, be proficient in Pastel Partner, and be available to start immediately.
The ideal candidate must be reliable, accurate, able to work under pressure, and willing to work longer hours when required to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities

Process and capture supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation where applicable.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Process supplier payments and assist with payment preparation.
Maintain accurate supplier account records.
Handle supplier queries and follow up on outstanding issues.
Assist with creditor reconciliations and month-end processing.
Ensure all accounts payable transactions are processed accurately.
Perform general finance and administrative duties as required.
Work additional hours when necessary to meet deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric.
Previous experience in an Accounts Payable / Creditors Clerk role.
Strong working knowledge of Pastel Partner.
Good understanding of creditors/accounts payable processes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good numerical and administrative skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Available to start immediately.
Willingness to work longer hours when required.
Own transport will be advantageous.
