Accountant / Purchasing Clerk

SUMMARY:
My client in Montague Gardens is looking for an Accounts/ Purchasing Clerk to join their dynamic team.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Pastel, Stock control and Purchasing systems would be advantageous

• All purchases orders (other than for dispatch) to be produced in Pastel by the Employee and authorised by the relevant individuals.
• All communication with Suppliers regarding orders to go via the Employee.
• The Employee to obtain any quotations for purchases as requested by Management.
• Purchase orders will be received in writing from all departments (either via purchase order note or email) and these must be ordered from the suppliers timeously.
• Consignment stock and monthly stock counts and monitoring.
• Quotations must be obtained for all stationary to be purchased to ensure the best prices are paid. 
• Ensure that there is always a basic set of all stationary requirements available.
• A Goods Received Note must be completed on receipt of goods and attached to the Supplier invoices. 
• All Supplier invoices must be thoroughly checked against actual goods received. 
• Pricing to be compared to agreed contracts, etc.
• Only goods received to be GRN’d.
• The Employee to advise Suppliers of any deliver issues and follow up on outstanding stock.
• All Supplier invoices received to be handed over to the accounts department on a daily basis and be processed
