POSITION INFO:
Job & Company Description:

An established organisation is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its finance department. This opportunity is ideally suited to a technically strong accounting professional looking to build on their articles experience while taking ownership of key financial processes.

Duties:

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
Perform balance sheet, bank, and general ledger reconciliations
Process journals, accruals, and month-end adjustments
Assist with tax calculations and statutory submissions
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Prepare audit schedules and support external audit processes
Analyse financial information and investigate variances
Monitor compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
Assist with process improvements and finance projects
Provide financial support to management and other departments

Qualifications & Skills:

BCom Accounting or related qualification essential
SAIPA or SAICA required
Approximately one year post-articles experience advantageous
Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
Tax experience advantageous
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
