Our trusted client within the hospitality sector is seeking a Hotel Accounts Assistant to join their Cape Town regional office. This role offers broad exposure to hotel finance operations and close collaboration with the Financial Manager, making it ideal for a commercially minded candidate looking to grow within hospitality finance.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Financial Manager in the execution of dayâtoâday finance functions
Prepare, review, and present monthly financial reports, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts
Conduct balance sheet reviews, follow up on queries, and resolve financial discrepancies
Maintain strong corporate governance and internal controls, including audit reviews
Perform analytical reviews, cost analysis, profitability reporting, and key statistics monitoring
Prepare board packs, manage capex budgets, and assist with feasibility studies and adâhoc projects

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

Bachelor of Commerce Degree (minimum requirement)

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role
Hospitality industry experience advantageous
Strong exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Skills:

SAP (S/4HANA) experience
Solid knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and the Companies Act
Strong commercial and analytical skills

Other nonânegotiables:

Ability to work independently and within a team
Willingness to travel to hotels in the Western and Eastern Cape
High attention to detail and strong timeâmanagement skills
