AP Supervisor

Are you a seasoned Accounts Payable professional with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of managing a high-performing team? Our client is seeking a hands-on AP Supervisor to lead and support their dynamic finance team.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full AP function, ensuring accurate and timeous processing of invoices and payments.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of 2–3 AP clerks, driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial regulations.
• Perform reconciliations, resolve queries, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Provide analytical insights to improve processes and support management reporting.

• Degree in Accounting/Finance (SAICA/CIMA) – non-negotiable.
• Minimum of 5+ years’ supervisory experience in Accounts Payable – essential.
• Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to support and develop a small team.
• Experience in Freight Forwarding or a similar logistics environment highly advantageous.
• Strong technical abilities with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• High adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
