POSITION INFO:
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking two highly driven External Sales Consultants to develop new business and grow their company's client base across Gauteng.
This is a delivery-focused sales role. The successful candidates must be proven sales performers who are confident prospecting, opening doors, developing relationships and converting opportunities into revenue.
You will sell services and complete industrial solutions, rather than technical products. While you do not need to be an engineer, you must be technically minded enough to understand basic machinery-moving requirements, take or understand measurements, visit client sites and understand the scope of a project.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Gauteng
• Prospect for new clients and actively open doors for the company
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial and commercial clients
• Sell the company’s full range of services, including:
  • Machinery moving and relocation
  • Rigging and heavy lifting
  • Industrial transport and abnormal loads
  • Mechanical, electrical, and piping installations
  • Plant and production-line installations
  • Turnkey industrial projects
• Conduct client visits and site assessments
• Understand customer requirements and gather relevant project information and measurements
• Prepare and follow up on quotations and proposals
• Identify opportunities for once-off projects as well as longer-term business
• Work closely with internal technical and project teams to ensure customer requirements are understood
• Achieve agreed sales targets and consistently generate new revenue

• A minimum of 3 years' proven external sales experience
• Demonstrated track record of new business development and achieving sales targets
• Strong prospecting and business-development ability
• Experience selling into industrial, engineering, manufacturing, mining, construction, FMCG, automotive or related sectors will be highly advantageous
• Experience selling capital equipment, machinery, engineering services, lifting or rigging equipment, transport or industrial solutions is particularly relevant
• Existing industrial client network will be advantageous
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Technically minded with the ability to understand basic measurements, machinery requirements and project scope
• Comfortable conducting client and factory/site visits
• Willing and able to travel regularly
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for business

• R25 000 basic salary + commission
