Job Description

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join their dynamic hospitality team. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong culinary expertise and leadership skills to ensure smooth kitchen operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Prepare and manage breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets with consistency and creativity.
Train, mentor and supervise junior cooks and kitchen staff.
Assist in planning menus and maintaining quality control.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Manage stock levels, ordering and cost control to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications

Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a lodge, hotel, or resort environment.
Strong background in buffet-style meal preparation across breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen management practices.

Skills

Excellent cooking and plating skills with attention to detail.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to train and develop kitchen staff effectively.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
Creativity in menu planning and adaptability to guest preferences.
