Job Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the full turnkey operations of the hotel’s housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service in a 4 or 5-star hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

To manage the full turnkey operation of the hotel’s housekeeping department
To ensure that courteous and efficient service is provided to the guest in line with the Company’s mission statement.
To ensure that assigned housekeeping personnel are trained and Standard Operating Procedures are implemented, monitored and improved

Qualifications

National Senior Certificate (Matric) and (NQF 6) Diploma in Hotel management or equivalent.
Must have at least 5 – 8 years experience within same position in 4 or 5-star hotels
Must be computer Literate in Fidelio / OPERA and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Be a South African Citizen
Must have own transport and drivers license

Skills

Will deal with clientele and Guests and must be well groomed
Will be required to be a self-starter, show initiative and integrity
Must have the ability to listen, report and communicate effectively
Demonstrate controls and a logical approach to problem solving
Demonstrate accuracy and numeracy
Must have the ability to handle conflict situations and manage under pressure
Be able to identify problems, resolve and implement solutions effectively
Must adhere to company policies, procedures, rules and regulations at all times
Demonstrate a positive attitude towards work and colleagues
Must be willing to work as the business requires
