My client is seeking an experienced, trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanical and Auto Electrical Workshop Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our busy fleet maintenance workshop in Port Moresby.
 
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising workshop personnel, maintaining high safety and quality standards, ensuring fleet reliability, controlling maintenance costs, and developing workshop staff. The successful candidate must possess strong technical expertise across heavy commercial vehicles, forklifts, and specialized equipment while demonstrating exceptional leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
 
This position is suitable only for highly experienced professionals who have successfully supervised large mechanical workshops within the transport, logistics, mining, construction, or heavy equipment industries.

Minimum MANDATORY Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
 

• Recognized Trade Certificate as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (mandatory).
• Additional recognized qualification or proven competency in Auto Electrical Systems (highly desirable).
• Copies of all trade qualifications and certificates must be submitted
• Minimum 10 years' supervisory or management experience in a heavy vehicle workshop
• Extensive experience supervising teams of mechanics, auto electricians and apprentices
• Excellent English communication
• Valid driver's license (heavy vehicle license advantageous).
• Clean employment and disciplinary
• Ability to relocate and work in Papua New Guinea
