POSITION INFO:

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our workshop in Citrusdal. The ideal candidate is a qualified Diesel Mechanic with solid leadership experience in a heavy equipment / yellow machinery environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise workshop staff, ensuring productivity and high-quality workmanship
Oversee maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy equipment/yellow machinery
Plan and schedule repairs, services, and preventative maintenance
Maintain workshop safety standards and enforce compliance
Manage parts, tools, and inventory
Ensure accurate job card processing, reporting, and record‑keeping
Liaise with operations teams to prioritise repairs and minimise downtime

Requirements

Qualified Diesel Mechanic (trade tested or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years experience as a Workshop Manager in a heavy equipment / yellow machinery environment
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, engines, and mechanical systems
Good leadership and team management skills
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written)
Strong administrative and planning ability
Valid driver’s licence
