Manufacturing company looking for a Workshop Foreman to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Skills:

Computer Literate
Interpersonal skills; strong & articulate communicator both verbal & written
Decision making and judgement, ability to justify a quality decision which may be unpopular
Issuing and investigating NCR’s
Problem solving and resolution analysis
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and BoM’s
Use of MS Office applications to generate reports, charts. Graphs, etc
CNC Programming and drawing knowledge
Hands on experience in production
Knowledge and experience in disciplinary in the workplace.
Ability to assess time studies and hold staff accountable for production volumes.
Project management skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to quote on Machining/ Manufacture of products

Responsibilities:

non-conforming product is quarantined and controlled
Ensure that quality data on the performance of products and processes is accurate and that action is taken on quality assurance deviations
Ensure employees / operators adhere to work instructions, policies, and procedures
Ensure Route Sheets are filled in correctly
Record and do first off inspections
Record and do in process inspections.
Record non-conformities on the electronic management system software.
Record Continual improvements.
Assist SHEQ Manager with investigations
Recording of instrument Calibration and Verification

Requirements:

Matric
Knowledge of a Quality Management System
Certificate/ Courses in CNC programming and setting - CAM (Optional) - MASTERCAM
Certificate/ Courses in CAD (Optional) - SOLIDWORKS
5+ years of experience in machining (Advantageous)
Mechanical Trade certificate (Advantageous)
