SUMMARY:

Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.
About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Workshop Cleaner

Stipend: R5 400.00

Location: Boksburg

POSITION INFO:
Workshop Cleaner:
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop environment.
Ensure compliance with the Hitachi Health & Safety Policy and Procedures, as well as the company’s Safe Work and ISO-related procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain all workshop areas, including floors, work surfaces, tools, and equipment.
Remove waste, debris, and hazardous materials in line with safety guidelines.
Ensure that walkways and workstations remain uncluttered and hazard-free.
Perform routine cleaning and deep cleaning as required.
Maintain cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor of replenishment needs.
Adhere to Hitachi Health & Safety Policy, Safe Work Procedures, and ISO-related requirements.
Assist in preparing the workshop for audits, inspections, and operational readiness.
Report any safety hazards, equipment faults, or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements:

South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
Matric
