SUMMARY:
Workshop Assistant
This role is for someone who is practical, reliable, and takes pride in doing things properly the first time. You’ll be working in a busy workshop where things move quickly, so being hands-on and able to keep up is important.
You won’t be micromanaged, but you will be expected to pull your weight, think ahead, and take initiative where needed.

What the role involves:

• Assisting mechanics with day-to-day workshop work and vehicle handling
• Carrying out basic mechanical tasks with minimal supervision
• Doing basic inspections and identifying common vehicle components
• Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times
• Following workshop procedures and safety standards
• Making sure tasks are completed properly and on time

• 3–4 years’ experience in a similar workshop environment
• A Red Seal qualification or relevant trade qualification (advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail, shortcuts won’t work here
• Good time management and the ability to stay on track
• Someone who can work independently without constant instruction
• A clean and organised way of working
• A proactive mindset, you don’t wait to be told everything
• Able to handle pressure when the workshop is busy
