POSITION INFO:
Our client in Qatar, a reputable shipyard company is seeking a Work Preparator to join their team for a two-year contract.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Steel Fabrication, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in work preparation, planning, or coordination within steelworks, shipbuilding, or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of steel structures, welding processes, and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in material planning, cost estimation, and workflow optimisation.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with multi-disciplinary teams.

• Plan and prepare steel fabrication and repair work based on project requirements.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures to ensure accurate execution.
• Prepare material lists, cutting plans, and work instructions for production teams.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and procurement teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor work progress, ensuring compliance with project deadlines and quality standards.
• Optimise workflows, resource allocation, and manpower utilisation.
• Ensure all preparations adhere to ISO, HSE, and company safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-inspections and quality checks to maintain high fabrication standards.
