Wheel Alignment Technician

SUMMARY:
JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

Our client is seeking a Wheel Alignment Technician to join their team in Queenstown. The role involves carrying out wheel alignments in line with manufacturer specifications to ensure vehicle safety, improved handling, driving comfort, and extended tyre life. The position also includes inspecting steering and suspension components, completing adjustments accurately, road testing vehicles, and maintaining a neat and safe workshop environment.

POSITION INFO:
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 qualification
• Valid driver’s licence
• Proven experience in wheel alignment following accredited training
• Ability to operate wheel alignment equipment accurately
• Strong understanding of vehicle safety and alignment principles

• Conduct pre-alignment inspections including tyres, suspension, steering, and ride height
• Operate and maintain wheel alignment machinery according to procedures
• Interpret alignment readings and compare them to manufacturer specifications
• Perform precise alignment adjustments using appropriate tools
• Road test vehicles to confirm correct alignment and performance
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workshop safety
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated
• Identify opportunities for additional services or sales where applicable
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
