Warehouse chargehand
POSITION INFO:
Our client in the agricultural milling and animal feed industry is seeking an experienced Warehouse Chargehand to manage warehouse operations in Bloemfontein!
Location: Bloemfontein, Free State
Salary: R20,000 - R30,000 (max)
Working Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Essential Qualifications:
-National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NQF 4)
-Valid Forklift License (ESSENTIAL)
-Valid RSA driver''s license and own transport
Essential Experience:
-5 years experience working within a warehouse facility (ESSENTIAL)
-1 year supervisory experience
- Knowledge and experience in feed industry (advantageous)
Technical Skills Required:
-MS Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint
-Kairos, C-Works, Pastel systems
-Knowledge of Storage and Inventory Management
-Understanding of ISO 22000 regulations
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
-Manage team in picking, scanning, loading, and stacking of pallets
-Follow transfer process as per SOP
-Achieve warehouse targets specified by management
-Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise team to develop positive working relationships
-Assist with staff performance development
-Drive employee productivity
-Reach team objectives
Health & Safety Standards:
-Maintain clean, uncluttered, hazardous-free work area
-Ensure emergency exits not obstructed
-Ensure personal hygiene standards maintained
-Ensure staff comply with OHS activities and procedures
-Report unsafe actions and conditions to HSE Department
Quality Food Safety Standards:
-Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
-Prevent, control, and detect potential contaminants
-Maintain cleaning programmes for suitability and effectiveness
-Maintain pest management programmes
-Maintain traceability processes for effective product recall
-Ensure continual improvement of Food Safety Management System
