Warehouse Manager

SUMMARY:
A well-established pharmaceutical company based in KZN is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their JHB Branch in Meadowdale.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar warehouse or logistics management role.
• Qualification in logistics, business administration, or related field advantageous.
• Experience with Pastel (non-negotiable).
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word (above average level required).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational, planning, prioritisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be in good physical health.
• Valid driver’s licence with own reliable transport.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Control

• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure effective stock management.
• Conduct regular stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate stock handling, tracking and reporting.

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee receipt of goods, order processing and distribution activities.
• Ensure efficient warehouse workflows and operational procedures.
• Maintain compliance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Staff Management & Supervision

• Supervise warehouse staff and oversee day-to-day operational activities.
• Manage HR-related matters including leave, discipline and policy compliance (in collaboration with HR where required).
• Conduct performance reviews and support training and development initiatives in conjunction with HR and the Responsible Pharmacist.

Compliance & Quality Control

• Ensure adherence to SAHPRA regulations and internal quality standards.
• Maintain high levels of safety, housekeeping and operational compliance.
• Ensure accurate reporting and data management across warehouse functions.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

• Work closely with the Responsible Pharmacist, General Manager and National Operations Manager.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance processes.
• Support continuous improvement of SOPs and operational procedures.

Communication

• Ensure effective communication with internal departments to support seamless operations.
• Resolve operational issues promptly and escalate where necessary.
