SUMMARY:
Warehouse (Long Distance) / Imports and Logistics Controller based in Durban

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for a Warehouse controller to join a logistics company based in Durban

Warehouse and Long Distance functions to manage incoming work including:

Understanding containerised traffic.
Planning deliveries to the warehouse with our cartage team.
Understanding managing/stock reports.
Understanding process of loading cargo out-break bulk
Client liaison
We have an in house system with suitable candidate will be trained on.
Communicating to existing clients on a daily base in order to secure new shipments/Deliveries.
Sales Reporting on daily base to management.
Daily Planning of Shipments/Deliveries, ensuring planning are action in accordance with company policies
Follow up on daily deliveries ensuring clients are keep informed at all times of progress and delays.
Closing off flies/deliveries.
Experience with exports and imports advantageous.
Experience with Navis and the port.
Must have experience with containers
Must be able to work long hours and under pressure.
Must be able to work in a team.
Must have a driver’s license.
Experience in this field is critical.
Working days – Monday – Friday 07:00 – 17:00 – Upon completion of work
Alternate weekends

Matric

Post matric relevant qualification will be beneficial

Willig to work alternating weekends

Drivers licence

Experience with Navis

Experience with the port

Expereince in the logistics/ import / export industry non negoiable
