Warehouse Assistant Manager

SUMMARY:
A well-established and busy Supplier of Footwear & Homeware Merchandise is seeking a confident and super organised Warehouse Assistant Manager for their Warehouse in Riverhorse Valley, Durban.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse.
• Receiving containers from Imports shipments.
• Distributing goods to customers (major retail chains).
• Arranging external audits where necessary.
• Arranging re-work (sending out) of goods where necessary.
• Working with delivery schedules to arrange and manage deliveries and efficient dispatch off all goods.
• Working closely with shipping coordinator on container ETAs and planning accordingly.
• Processing all relevant documentation.
• Finalising delivery quantities, box counts, etc.
• Printing off carton stickers, etc.
• Problem-solving and thinking out the box to find quick and effective solutions.
• Updating Management and Merchandise teams on all issues and deliveries.

Requirements

• Min 3-5 years Relevant experience in Warehouse operations, preferably delivering to retailers.
• Relevant warehouse experience in fashion/clothing/footwear/homeware would be a distinct advantage.
• Qualification in Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of warehouse flows and paperwork required to receive and dispatch goods.
• Strong Planning and Organising Skills.
• Good administration and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to send clear and concise emails.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
• Computer literate, with good proficiency on excel and email.
