Our client based in Southgate, Amanzimtoti is currently seeking an Administrative/Operations Assistant.
Objective:
To support the supervisors and management team with problem-solving skills, effective teamwork and respect deadlines while providing administrative tasks daily. The Administrative Assistant will assist with the day-to-day operations by doing tasks such as filing paperwork, answering phone calls, preparing documents for drivers, receiving and deliveries, and ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring load sheets and PODs are printed daily
- Efficient and systematic filing of all documents
- Attending to emails. both internal and external
- Assist with yard stock levels
- Attend to stock takes when required
- On-time and accurate capturing of vehicles to be planned
- Regular updates to clients regarding ETAs of collections and deliveries
- Completion of self-drop comments
- Ensuring that the dealers/customers are updated daily
- Punctual and professional handling of queries
Requirements and Skills:
- A confident and committed extrovert with good self-esteem
- Ability to handle challenging clients and situations
- Ability to work within the framework as set out by the manager
- Matric with minimum 2 years' experience in logistics admin
- Good communication skills and strong emotional intelligence
- Own reliable transport
- Organisational, problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to learn new skills quickly
- Keen eye for detail
