SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Responsible for full management of warehouse operations, parts inventory, and aftersales support, ensuring accurate stock control, efficient parts supply to workshop, and smooth coordination between warehouse, workshop, suppliers, and dealers.
Please note: This role is best suited to candidates with experience in parts and workshop-linked environments rather than general warehousing or logistics-only roles.
This is a hands-on operational role with staff supervision and full process accountability.
Core Focus Areas 1. Warehouse Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations
- Maintain organisation, safety, and storage standards
- Manage stock control, cycle counts, and stock security
2. Parts & Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Manage ordering, receiving, and issuing of stock
- Track min/max levels, fast/slow-moving items
- Handle returns, damaged stock, and warranty parts
3. Aftersales Support
- Ensure parts availability for servicing and repairs
- Support workshop with timely parts supply
- Handle customer parts queries
- Manage warranty claims and records
4. Workshop Coordination
- Work closely with technicians and service advisors
- Prioritise urgent and scheduled service parts
- Prevent delays due to stock shortages
- Monitor parts usage trends
5. Supplier Coordination
- Place and follow up on orders
- Resolve shortages and discrepancies
- Maintain supplier relationships
6. Staff Management
- Supervise warehouse/back-of-house staff
- Allocate tasks and monitor productivity
- Train staff on processes and stock handling
- Enforce discipline and operational standards
7. Training (Dealers & Internal)
- Train dealers on parts processes and aftersales procedures
- Support onboarding of new dealers
- Conduct refresher training where required
8. Reporting & Admin
- Stock reporting and discrepancy management
- Monitor stock value and cost control
- Maintain warranty/service records
- Assist with audits
Minimum Requirements
(Applications will be considered based on the below)
- Experience in parts, inventory, or warehouse operations within an automotive / technical / workshop environment
- Exposure to aftersales or service support functions
- Strong stock control and inventory management experience
- Able to work in a hands-on operational role (not purely supervisory)
- Based in or able to commute to Bellville / Northern Suburbs
- Available to start by 1 May or immediately
