Waiter (Seasonal)

SUMMARY:
An exciting new restaurant on a stunning Estate is looking for an experienced, service-oriented WAITER (seasonal) to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
The ideal candidate for this position is well-versed in serving distinguished clientele, has great communication skills and is no stranger to exceptional service.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have grade 12
• At least 3 years experience in a luxury environment, or 5 years as a head waiter
• Basic knowledge of wine and the surrounding wine region
• Basic math skills, hands-on cash register experience, and knowledge on ordering information systems
• Must be well-presented with an enthusiastic personality
• Flexible, accountable individual with excellent interpersonal skills

• Ensure table setup: linen, silverware, glasses
• Greet guests at their assigned tables, ensuring they have food and wine menus
• Must know all menu items, ingredients used and preparation methods
• Accurately take orders using POS system, and deliver within time limits
• Make sure the kitchen & bar have received the orders
• Clearing of dirty cutlery and crockery when guests are done with them
• Upsell by offering coffees and desserts
• Make sure the restaurant is clean and hygienic
• Uniform must always be clean
