SUMMARY:
Our client in Johannesburg is currently looking for a wages administrator

POSITION INFO:

Wages Administrator

Reporting to the HR and Wages Managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following (amongst other duties):

• Processing the weekly wage run for permanents and contracts including loading and updating employees information
• Reconciling weekly and monthly information and all other relevant year end information
• Dealing with all third party payments
• Maintaining the integrity of the clocking system
• Inputting increases and service increments
• Leave administration
• Preparing and distributing IRP 5’s
• Compiling all relevant weekly reports
• Creating reports using Sage People and record absenteeism, disciplinary information amongst others
• Filing and ensuring that the personnel files are up to date.
• Distributing provident fund statements and arranging
• Attending to employees and managers regarding all wage queries.
• Preparing information for Provident fund monthly
• Liaising with sick pay fund
• Assisting with annual Long service awards, arranging customer days, and Christmas hampers and vouchers

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric as a minimum entry requirement.
• Min 5yrs working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience and knowledge of MEIBC and Main Agreement essential
• Minimum 5 yrs experience in processing wages on Sage People payroll
• Experience with Kronos clocking systems will be advantageous.
• Computer literate. (MS Office- Excel essential)
• Must be highly meticulous and methodical.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment with stringent deadlines.
• Ability to use initiative and work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
