WORKSHOP MANAGER

SUMMARY:
Mpongwe Area, Copperbelt Province – Zambia: This commercial farming enterprise is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 

• Trade tested diesel mechanic or equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years of mechanical experience on a large-scale commercial operation
• Thorough knowledge of Agricultural mechanics – preferably with John Deere equipment and experience in Service Advisor/Operation Centre
• Computer literate
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid Passport

• Service and maintenance of all equipment/movable assets of the farm
• Oversee mechanics/welders/fitters/turners on a daily basis
• Ordering of spares and consumables for workshop
• Training of mechanics/welders/fitters and combine/tractor operators
• Monitoring of fuel usage on daily basis
• Setup of precision farming equipment/applications/yield mapping
