The Role: Video Editor / Animator
The Video Editor / Animator focuses on post-production to turn raw footage into bold, emotional, and shareable finished pieces. The role exists to deliver videos based on story and tone briefs that perform strongly on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The main focus is creating cinematic and addictive rugby content with fast turnarounds.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 4+ years of professional experience as a Video Editor or Motion Graphics Artist.

Edit and produce high-quality video content from match footage, training sessions, and player interviews.

Create motion graphics, animations, text overlays, and visual effects to elevate storytelling.

Handle sound design, including music selection and audio mixing for professional-grade output.

Optimize edits for different platforms, including vertical formats for TikTok and Reels.

Work to tight deadlines around match days, delivering real-time edits and post-match highlights.

Suggest creative approaches and iterate on edits based on feedback and performance data.

Maintain organized project files and asset libraries for efficient team workflow.
About You

4+ years of professional experience as a Video Editor or Motion Graphics Artist.

Relevant qualification in Film/Video Editing, Motion Graphics, Animation, or equivalent proven experience.

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.

Strong portfolio showcasing fast-paced edits, short-form social content, and motion graphics.

Excellent sense of timing, pacing, and storytelling with the ability to hook viewers in the first 3 seconds.

Strong understanding of social media video best practices, including aspect ratios and trends.

Ability to work under pressure in a seasonal, game-day environment with non-negotiable deadlines.

Passion for rugby or elite team sports and a collaborative mindset.

Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, Cinema 4D, or similar tools is a plus.
