SUMMARY:
Vehicle Sales Manager (2 Positions) – Cape Town City
Our esteemed client in Cape Town City is urgently looking to appoint 2 Vehicle Sales Managers to join their growing dealership. They are seeking 1 x New Vehicle Sales Manager and 1 x Used Vehicle Sales Manager. Experience working with Chinese vehicle brands is essential.

The salary offered is R25,000 CTC per month, plus commission, which will be be based on experience, qualifications, and current salary package.

Our client is seeking two experienced, results-driven professionals to lead high-performing sales teams within their fast-growing dealership. These opportunities are ideal for dynamic leaders with a proven track record in automotive sales management, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. The successful candidates will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing their sales teams, driving profitability, monitoring sales performance and departmental KPIs, ensuring outstanding customer service, managing vehicle stock in collaboration with management, overseeing deal structuring with the Finance & Insurance department, recruiting and mentoring sales executives, maintaining compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards, preparing sales reports and forecasts, and building strong relationships with customers and manufacturer representatives. Essential experience working with Chinese vehicle brands is required.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidates will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and mentoring sales consultants, ensuring compliance with OEM standards, and contributing to the dealership's continued success.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric Certificate).
• Valid South African Code 8 Driver's Licence.
• Brand/Dealer Training Certificates.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive sales management.
• Proven success managing a New Vehicle Sales Department / Used Vehicle Sales Department.
• Consistent track record of achieving 30 or more vehicle sales per month as a Sales Manager.
• Strong understanding of dealership financials, gross profit management, and stock control.
• Experience using dealership management systems (CMS) and CRM platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Clear criminal and credit record.

• Lead and manage the New Vehicle Sales Department / Used Vehicle Sales Manager to achieve dealership objectives.
• Achieve and exceed monthly targets for vehicle sales, gross profit, finance penetration, accessories, and value-added products.
• Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Conduct daily sales meetings and monitor individual and team performance.
• Drive enquiry management and maximise sales conversion through CRM systems.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and achieve OEM CSI/KOC targets.
• Manage stock control, stock ageing, pricing strategies, vehicle sourcing, and trade-in appraisals.
• Maximise dealership profitability through finance, insurance, accessories, and value-added products.
• Monitor competitor activity and implement effective sales strategies.
• Ensure compliance with OEM standards, dealership policies, and FICA requirements.
• Work closely with the Dealer Principal, Marketing, F&I, and Aftersales departments to achieve dealership goals.
• Prepare and present accurate sales reports and performance analysis.
