VJ 19572 - Sheetmetal Fabrication Designer – East Rand

You will be responsible for the following:

• Produce 2D manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD.
• Design sheetmetal components for electrical enclosure.
• Develop drawings for the workshop floor ie, bend details and stud placement.
• Creation of bills of quantities for the assembly shop.
• Assist with sheetmetal costings and ensure they are then manufactured within budget.
• Interpret hand sketches or written concepts and convert them into fabrication drawings.
• Resolve any drawing, fabrication and assembly issues.
• Participate in the development of new prototypes.
• Maintain accurate revisions and changes made to existing drawings and ensure they are filed and recorded correctly.
• Work closely with the projects team and ensure steelwork is delivered on time and as per the requirements.
• Ability to work on-site in, manage multiple tasks, adapt to change and work under pressure.
