Urgently require a seasoned Medical Unit Manager in Cape Town

JOB DESCRIPTION:

My Client in the private healthcare industry seeks a competent and experienced Medical Unit Manager to join their team in Cape Town.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
3 or 4-year Diploma or 4 year Degree in Nursing; Postgraduate qualification inthe unit’s specialist area (if relevant)
DESIRED EDUCATION:
Nursing education qualification; Nursing management qualification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years professional nursing experience in a hospital; 2-3years leadership experience in a hospital
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Infection Prevention and Control; Clinical Facilitation
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Auditing and accreditation processes
Clinical risk management
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies
Financial management
Healthcare industry
Human resource processes including employee relations
Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
Management of staff productivity
Nursing functional knowledge
Patient complaint management
Relevant nursing legislation
