A leading engineering solutions provider specializing in high-performance hydraulic systems for mining. Now hiring 4 skilled Underground Fitters/Millwrights to maintain and install cutting-edge equipment at mine sites in Welkom (x2), Carletonville (x1), and Brits (x1).
Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent
- Trade Certificate: Fitter/Millwright
- 5+ years’ underground mining experience (hydraulic systems preferred)
- Technical Skills: Mechanical/hydraulic fault-finding; Equipment installation expertise
- Valid medical certificate (or proof of fitness for underground work)
- Clean criminal record
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine servicing, breakdown repairs, and installations of hydraulic mining equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Install and commission hydro-powered mining equipment
- Ensure 100% compliance with safety protocols and OEM standards
- Maintain accurate equipment logs and job cards
- Train mining crews on safe operation practices
- Manage underground spare parts inventory
