Underground Fitter

SUMMARY:
Requirements:

•  Grade 12 or equivalent education.
• A relevant Fitter Trade Certificate.
•  A minimum of 7 years' experience as a Fitter.
•  At least 5 years' experience specifically in winder maintenance.
•  Experience working with both Blair Multi Rope (BMR) Winders and Double and Single Drum Winders, as well as associated equipment.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including inspections and adherence to regulations.
•  Promote teamwork and contribute to a culture of zero harm.
• Conduct effective condition monitoring and scheduled maintenance.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, analyze root causes, and perform repairs.
• Maintain and document winder control and mechanical systems, aligning with maintenance schedules.
