We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Front Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of our upmarket restaurant/Deli.
This role requires a hands-on, service-focused individual with a flair for premium hospitality, team leadership, and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a deep love for hospitality and customer service to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality standards.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of baristas and service staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Maintain a strong floor presence and lead by example in service delivery, presentation, and hospitality.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and work with suppliers to ensure freshness and quality.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Monitor and manage costs, wastage, and labour in line with budget goals.
- Develop and implement service procedures and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with marketing to drive promotions, events, and community engagement.
- Handle customer feedback with professionalism and care to uphold the brand’s reputation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in a premium café, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing techniques, and café trends.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of stock control, ordering systems, and basic financial reporting.
- High attention to detail and a passion for quality service.
- Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings, and public holidays as needed.
