UI/UX Product Designer (CBD, Cape Town) R40,000 – R50,000 PM

Global B2B enterprise SaaS company who services industries in 14 countries is seeking a UI/UX Product Designer to join their team.

As an UI/UX Product Designer, you will have the ability to influence/lead design and user experience across the company’s products. You will play a key role in designing software that is aesthetically pleasing, delightful and easy to use.

About the role:

-       Produce user interface concepts and prototypes; knowing when to be pixel-perfect in the details and when to stay low-fi with sketches, prototypes, or ideas

-       Communicate user goals, tasks, needs, and behaviours through service design maps and/or customer journeys as well as document the detailed user journey through wireframes

-       Storyboarding, prototyping and creation of bespoke assets including illustrations, artwork and video

-       Facilitate co-design workshops that encourage problem solving with the team

-       Presenting to, and working closely with, QA to ensure design acceptance is well understood and considered

-       Be responsible for the visual design and hand-over of assets to developers as part of the end-to-end design process

-       Translate user research and usability findings into iterative product solutions, leveraging the latest UX strategies and trends.

-       Create and maintain style guides for various digital products

-       Support other members of the team with any design-related needs

About you:

-       Comparable experience in UI/UX for digital products

-       Comfortable with all stages of the design process, from research to user testing, prototyping to delivery

-       Advanced skills in industry-leading software and technologies, such as Adobe Photoshop, Figma, InVision, Jira, Confluence, Trello, Google suite

-       Bonus if have knowledge in HTML, CSS

-       Able to communicate with developers easily when expressing design ideas and feedback

-       Able to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and work within deadlines

-       Have a portfolio that demonstrates your design process, role and contributions where you’ve previously shipped design for cross-platform product experiences
