PBT Group is seeking an experienced User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Tester to join a dynamic delivery team in Cape Town on a contract basis.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented testing professional who enjoys working closely with business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet business requirements before deployment. You will play a key role in planning, coordinating and executing User Acceptance Testing across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality system delivery and an excellent end-user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across multiple initiatives.
Review business and functional requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
Develop and maintain UAT test scenarios, test cases and test scripts.
Execute end-to-end business process testing and validate system functionality.
Identify, log and track defects through to resolution.
Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams and business stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.
Facilitate defect triage sessions and assist with prioritisation of issues.
Validate defect fixes and perform regression testing where required.
Support business users during UAT cycles and provide guidance throughout the testing process.
Ensure testing evidence and documentation are maintained in accordance with governance standards.
Provide regular progress updates and testing status reports to project stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices.
Minimum Requirements
Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analysis or a related field.
Minimum 4–6 years' experience in Software Testing or User Acceptance Testing.
Proven experience delivering UAT within enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.
Financial Services, Retail or Enterprise Systems experience will be advantageous.
