SUMMARY:
Dedicated and experienced Truck Tyre Foreman to lead their tyre maintenance operations across their fleet of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This role is critical to ensuring vehicle safety, tyre performance, and minimal downtime, while maintaining high workshop standards.

Qualifications:

• Gr 12 (required)
• Certificate or relevant training in tyre maintenance (preferred)      

Requirements:

• Proven experience in commercial truck tyre management (4 years +)
• Strong leadership and supervision skills (2 years +)
• Knowledge of tyre brands, applications, and wear analysis (4 years +)
• Computer literacy (Excel and workshop systems) (Essential)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills (Essential)
• Ability to work under pressure and after hours (Essential)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Tyre Maintenance & Operations: Oversee tyre maintenance, breakdown support, tyre inspections, pressure control, rotations, and compliance for trucks and trailers.
• Supervision & Team Leadership: Supervise tyre fitters and workshop assistants, allocate daily tasks, monitor productivity, enforce safety and workshop discipline, proper tyre handling procedures training.
• Inspections & Reporting: Inspect tyres, record condition and tread depth, identify damage or faults, and maintain performance and workshop reports.
• Stock Control & Cost Management: Manage tyre inventory and stock control, track costs and usage, and support budgeting and procurement processes.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety standards and PPE compliance, equipment maintenance, investigate tyre-related incidents, uphold clean and safe working environment.

• Travel to depots for inspections and audits

Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 07:00 to 17:00
• Saturday and Sunday: 08:00 to 13:00 (alternating weekends).
