Truck Sales Representative

SUMMARY:
The incumbent is responsible for locating new and building on existing business opportunities within new markets located within the borders of South Africa.

POSITION INFO:

Relationship Management:
• Ensure effective communication between Company and Customers as well as building and developing strong relationships.
•Must be able to engage well with people at all levels of the organisation.
•Efficient and effective management of client relationships.
•Prospecting and Cold Calling on potential clients which meet the following criteria:

• oTruck Dealers
• oTrucks Dealer’s Used Division
• Truck Traders
• Transporters with large fleets
• Corporates with large corporate fleets
• Panelbeaters
• Municipalities
• Truck OEM’s and Head Office employees

•Building Relationships with all the above.
•Regularly Updating CRM / Sales Mobility platform with up-to-date client information records.
•This role requires extensive and regular travel

Needs analysis:

•Understand products which are needed within the market. Sell on features and benefits.
•Report to management any potential new development opportunities with an initial high volume and ongoing potential.

•Identify new Business opportunities for potential development (not only product related).
•Increase penetration on new product introductions until they reach maturity.
•Once mature maintain existing market share.

Sales Process Management:

•Develop a prospect list sourcing key contacts via LinkedIn, existing networks and referrals etc.
•Categorise leads
•Plan work effort according and time spent on activities
•Getting the appointment. Book appointments with managers, buyers, procurement and purchasing departments to understand customer needs.
•Book follow up appointments trying to reach all decision makers which may include the C-Suite.
•Presentations and quotations.
•Handling objections.
•Closing the deal to achieve company sales targets.
•If required facilitate the fitment of products through the Maxe technical team, Maxe accredited fitment centres or Maxe accredited Maxe mobile fitment partners.
•Follow up to ensure satisfaction
•Build relationships to ensure repeat business

Administration:

•Excellent product knowledge
•Updated business opportunities to be documented and communicated at all times.
•New customers to be captured into CRM / Sales Mobility platform.
•Capturing Customer engagement data into CRM / Sales Mobility platform immediately. Such as

• When prospect is identified
• When key stakeholders are identified
• Emails
• Telephone calls
• Visits

•Proper, efficient and effective use of the CRM / Sales Mobility platform used at Maxe which includes relevant customer feedback.

• All relevant information regarding the engagement to be captured.

•Efficient, Effective, Quality reporting on all sales and marketing aspects of the business that will include competitor activity and information.
•Professional and relevant written communications between company and customer.

Educational:

National Diploma in Marketing or sales related qualification

Experiential:

5 years’ experience in a similar role
