Trolley Area Manager - Western Cape

We currently have a vacancy for a trolley porting services Area Manager in the Western Cape region.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure consistently high service standards are maintained for all services in scope with regular site visits and inspections.
• Contract retention through maintaining excellent service standards, identifying, and mitigating the risk of cancellation and building strong client relationships with key client contacts.
• Ensure that cleaning of trolleys are strictly adhered to in line with company policies.
• Managing trolley assets by performing weekly spot checks.
•  When checking trolleys ensure they are workable and that any broken trolleys are repaired and serviced when required.
• Ensure that training is scheduled for all staff in your portfolio to equip and empower them to perform their duties. This includes regular on-the-job training sessions performed by your team of managers.
• Monitor and ensure submission of daily trolley counts being accurately recorded in the the trolley count book.
• Regular client meetings with at least one formal documented client meeting per month to ensure client needs are understood and expectations are met.
• Responding to clients and management request timeously and providing necessary action required.
• Ensure monthly completion of reports required for specific services as agreed with clients. This may include hygiene consumption reports, trolley inspection and walk about reports, reports on training performed, reports on client maintenance matters that were reported by cleaning management and/or completion of client monthly surveys. It may also include client specific requirements.
• Responsible to effectively communicate and filter company information to contract managers who needs to filter down to their staff.
• Area managers are responsible to ensure that site managers and supervisors abide by the company disciplinary code and that this is consistently applied.
• Ensure zero trolley losses on site.
• Conduct trolley recovery.
• Must be able to work night shift hours .

Qualifications

• Minimum Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience. Knowledge of legislation relevant to the Trolley Asset/Security industry.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail/security environment on middle management level.
• Experience in managing large compliments of people and a large client portfolio.
