Trial Officer - Vegetable Crops

SUMMARY:

A global horticultural seed company is seeking an energetic and suitably qualified candidate to join the local Product Development team that focuses on introducing new vegetable varieties into the market.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a tertiary Agricultural qualification such as a B. Sc. Degree in Plant Production/Plant Science/Plant Pathology or similar field of study
• Sound knowledge of irrigation, crop protection, and plant nutrition practices
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Must have a valid driver's license with willingness to travel extensively throughout South Africa, including early mornings, late afternoons, evenings, and overnight stays when operationally required

• Planning trial layouts.
• Implementing trials.
• Evaluating trials.
• Capturing trial data and reporting trial results.
