SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Parts Store Controller to oversee all aspects of the transport parts store operation based Durban, KZN
POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will be responsible for stock control, inventory management, parts procurement, supplier liaison, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the stores department. A strong understanding of transport, fleet, or commercial vehicle parts is essential, together with experience in parts ordering and maintaining accurate stock levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all transport parts store operations.
- Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure the timely replenishment of parts.
- Source and order transport and fleet-related parts from approved suppliers.
- Conduct regular stock counts and investigate stock variances.
- Accurately process goods received and goods issued.
- Ensure the stores department is organised, secure, and compliant with company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with workshop, fleet, and procurement teams regarding parts requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting relating to stock movements.
Minimum Requirements- Previous experience as a Store Controller, Parts Controller, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of transport, fleet, truck, trailer, or commercial vehicle parts.
- Proven experience in stock control and inventory management.
- Computer literacy with experience using stock management systems.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
Package- Basic salary: R18,000 – R20,000 per month
