This is a vital role for a skilled Transformer Test Technician who thrives on precision, innovation, and delivering excellence in both testing and client engagement.

Where You'll Make an Impact:

Conduct routine and special type tests on transformers up to 50 MVA at 170kV, including Voltage Ratio, Polarity, Insulation Resistance, Winding Resistance, Over-voltage, No Load Loss, Magnetisation, Full-Load Loss, and Impedance testing.
Perform specialized tests such as SFRA, Tan Delta, Capacitance, Temperature Rise, Partial Discharge, and Impulse tests.
Prepare detailed test reports, analyze results, and present findings to clients.
Assist with production and factory testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Coordinate testing activities, lead and train team members, and develop testing procedures and systems.
Conduct on-site testing, troubleshoot operational issues, and uphold rigorous quality control.

Duties:

Carry out comprehensive transformer testing and analysis.
Ensure all testing activities meet technical standards and client specifications.
Develop and implement new testing methodologies.
Support team training and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

Electrical Trade Certificate and/or Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Proven ability to prepare testing circuits and interpret customer specifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license.
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong skills in testing, analysis, and implementation.

Familiarity with the following:

Power generation, manufacturing, and electrical industries.
