About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Trainee Hub Supervisor

Stipend: R6 700.00

POSITION INFO:
Job Purpose 

This is a developmental role, designed to build practical experience in client services, office
management, and stakeholder engagement/management.
The candidate will support operational coordination, ensure client and SME satisfaction, and help run
an efficient, welcoming space for entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hub Operations & Facilities Management

• Assist in the daily running of the Hub: open/close procedures, ensure the space is clean and presentable, tech readiness
• Manage bookings for desks, boardrooms, and event space
• Prepare spaces for meetings, trainings, and events
• Ensure that amenities (coffee, water, Wi-Fi, etc.) are available and functional

• Support the setup and facilitation of SME onboarding
• Liaise with SMEs to gather documentation and schedule support sessions
• Work with specialist service providers to coordinate support delivery
• Track SME engagement and feedback

• Welcome walk-ins, answer questions, and promote Hub services
• Register entrepreneurs and visitors, manage daily attendance and usage
• Help with basic client queries and escalate issues where necessary.

• Maintain accurate records of daily Hub activities, SME bookings, and service provider appointments.
• Assist with monthly reporting and usage summaries.
• Support the marketing/social media content by capturing activity photos and short writeups (optional).

• Attend all training and induction sessions.
• Work with mentor/supervisor to complete development tasks and assignments.
• Participate in weekly check-ins and feedback sessions.

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
