Our client, in the hairdressing industry, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Hairstylist to join their vibrant team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for hairdressing, looking to build their skills and grow within the industry. The position offers room for professional development, intensive training, and the chance to work in a supportive and friendly environment.
Requirements:
- Matric (Senior Certificate) required
- Ability to communicate fluently in Afrikaans and English
- No formal hairdressing qualification needed, but certification will be advantageous
- Must be friendly, spontaneous, neat, and presentable
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays
- Professional attitude and eagerness to learn
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wash, cut, blow-dry, and style clients’ hair
- Advise clients on suitable hair care, treatments, and maintenance
- Assist with colour treatments and other hairdressing services as required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and neat workstation at all times
- Welcome clients and ensure a friendly, positive salon experience
- Adhere to hygiene and salon standards
- Contribute to teamwork and salon duties as needed
- Manage client bookings and assist with daily salon administration
Work hours:
Monday - Friday from 08:00 till 17:30
Saturdays - 08:00 till 13:00 or 09:00 till 14:00 (with one day off during the week)
Renumeration:
R5 000 per month (Cost to Company)
