We are recruiting a skilled professional, trade tested Toolmaker to join a leading automotive manufacturing environment in Rosslyn.

POSITION INFO:

Toolmaker – Rosslyn, Pretoria

Minimum Requirements:

• Trade Tested Toolmaker
• 3 to 5 years experience in an Automotive or Manufacturing environment
• Strong Press Tooling experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge of material heat treatment and tool design principles
• Experience with CNC machining, light milling machines, and grinders
• CAD/CAM experience
• Proficient in precision measurements using metrology equipment (Micrometers, Verniers, CMM)
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture, maintain, repair, and modify press tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges
• Diagnose tooling failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Operate CNC and conventional toolroom machinery
• Perform precision inspections and measurements
• Support production and engineering teams with tooling improvements
• Assist with new tool development and commissioning
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
