Our client in the manufacturing and engineering sector is seeking a Tool Setter to join their team.

Location: Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha

Job type: On-site

Duties and Responsibilities

• Confirm there are no out of tolerance conditions
• Follow production process and report any necessary deviations
• Adhere to tool maintenance schedule
• Maintain sharp cutting tools in all machines
• Program tool offsets and assist with CNC program offsets if required
• Do cutting tool setting
• Machine process set ups as required – clock fixtures
• Maintain cutting tool stock levels and back up tooling
• Comply with SHE and Quality systems, policies and procedures
• Ensure department tooling budgets are managed and controlled

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 with Maths
• Fluent in English
• CNC operating experience
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of quality systems
• Be able to manage resources
• Ability to understand technical terms
• Ability to write reports

Skills

• Understand root cause and solve problems effectively
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Precision measurement and inspection skills
